ALL-BREED, INSTINCT-INFORMED, PLAY-CENTERED TRAINING
BECAUSE EVERY DOG DESERVES TO LIVE A FULLY ENRICHED LIFE
ABOUT THE TRAINER: JAYNE FINE
B.S. in Cynology (The study of canine behavior, biology, history, and breeding) from Bergin College of Canine Studies, the first higher learning program of its kind.
Jayne has spent 10 years honing skills & expanding her knowledge on what it is to live with a fulfilled and healthy dog in all types of environments. During her career she has worked with dogs everywhere from rural Napa County, CA, to suburban Raleigh-Durham, to the urban chaos of NYC.
JAYNE’S EXPERTISE AT A GLANCE:
-
Jayne has 10 years of experience helping dogs sort through complicated emotions. Over time she has streamlined an approach that focuses on exercise, enrichment, and emotional regulation. It’s complicated to deal with a dog who barks/lunges on leash or who has even bitten other dogs or people. One of her greatest joys in the training industry is to help give guardians the skills & confidence to expand their dog’s worlds.
-
Getting a puppy often sounds like a great idea … until you get one and realize what absolute chaos a puppy brings. Jayne loves helping guardians & their puppies navigate through adolescence and grow into a well adjusted adult dog.
Jayne’s puppy raising foundation started through a Service Dog lens. Since the Service Dog renaissance in the 70’s, training organizations have honed in on the perfect series of experiences a puppy to have at every life stage to help them grow into a well-adjusted adult. Her experience allows her to bring that knowledge into the pet/companion dog training world in a very unique way.

A note from Jayne…
I was launched into this industry through the process of training my own service dog. At the time I was suffering from crippling panic attacks and disassociation that made it hard to leave my own house. It was even hard to get out of bed each morning. Getting a new dog wasn’t an option, so I set about trying to figure out how to train the dog I already had. She was a Boston Terrier who had just turned a year old. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find any trainers willing to evaluate or help me train her. Through a lot of digging down google rabbit holes I stumbled across a legitimate academic university that had been founded by THE founder of service dogs. Within n the span of a few weeks was set to move from NYC to CA. I spent 2 years learning the ins and outs of professional service dog breeding, raising, and training and eventually got a puppy to train to be my own service dog.
As part of trying to fill the need for fully trained service dogs I started an organization with my friend & fellow trainer Jordyn Hatfield called Enrichment Canine Service Dogs. ECSD is a soon to be 501©3 not for profit organization that focuses on producing scent based alert dogs and psychiatric service dogs for veterans. You can click here to visit the ECSD website!
I also currently offer training & support through my personal training business for those trying to train their own service dogs. If you are an individual who either has a dog already or is planning to get a dog to train as your own service dog, you can click here to learn more about those services.
